Mountain Image Distributors is owned by Crazy Canuck skier Dave Irwin, former Canadian National Alpine Ski Team member and World Cup champion. Lynne Harrison took over as General Manager in 2004 after Dave's tragic ski accident in which he sustained a severe brain injury.

Founded in 2002, after Dave suffered a severe head injury while skiing in Banff, the Foundation was created for the benefit of brain injury survivors and their families; for funding of academic research and innovative outreach programs and services which increase accessibility to persons in recovery; and for supporting educational programs to raise public awareness of acquired brain injury (ABI).
The Dave Irwin Foundation for Brain Injury is a testament to survival against all odds.
